Reuzel

Leen and Bertus started to cut men’s hair from fourteen going forward. With love for their craft and the influences of rock n roll, kustom kulture and the subcultures that go with them. It was inevitable that Leen and Bertus would found Schorem Haarsnijder en Barbier together.

Schorem is an old school barbershop, just for guys, found in the heart of Rotterdam. The barbershop specializes in classic cuts that have tested and endured the test of time. Think of pompadours, flattops, contours and many other awesome styles found on the famous Schorem barbershop posters.

With more than fifty years experience in the fingers the Rotterdam-based barbers crafted a very popular and quality pomade. The two barbers dove into the history of pomades to fabricate one themselves that would eventually belong to the world’s best. And they succeeded. Reuzel. Reuzel is Dutch for lard, with a wink to pomades made from animal fats and fragranced with the scent of apples. Reuzel. A wonderful product with a wonderful story.
